HE ENTERED ON NOVEMBER 17, 1943 AND DISCHARGED JANUARY 6, 1946. WAS IN HODGE'S 1ST ARMY AND LATER IN PATTON'S 3RD ARMY. RECEIVED 2 OVERSEAS SERVICE BARS, AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, THE BRONZE STAR FOR VALOR, COMBAT INFANTRYMAN BADGE, EUROPEAN-AFRICAN-MIDDLE EASTERN THEATER RIBBON WITH 4 BRONZE STARS. RECEIVED A SHARPSHOOTER MEDAL FOR M1 RIFLE, .45 CALIBER PISTOL, HEAVY .30 CALIBER MACHINE GUN AND 81MM MORTAR. SERVICE NUMBER 37628971.
