Served as a Sergeant. He was stationed in Italy with the 15th Air Force Division, 767th Bomber Squadron, 461st Bomber Group, Heavy. He was stationed as a top gunner on a B-24 Liberator and went missing in action 31 March 1945. He was posthumously awarded the Air Medal and the Purple Heart.
