Bibliography

| |
World War II is the subject of thousands of
books, and more are published each year as historians continue to explore this massive conflict.
With all the titles available, it's hard to know where to begin!
In an effort to provide a little guidance, the memorial asked a few experts to offer
suggested readings to help those interested in World War II get started.
Book Lists
The initial titles in our bibliography were selected by historian Roger Cirillo. These
books, divided into broad subject areas, provide a good starting point for interested readers.
There is also a section on Women in WWII, selected by curator Dr. Judith Bellafaire, Ph.D.
Wargames
If you are interested in a more interactive lesson about World War II, there are numerous
computer games on the subject. Whether you are a beginner looking for a game that just gives
the flavor of the war, or a hardcore enthusiast who demands detail and realism, our bibliography will
point you in the right direction. |
