WWII Registry Home Page Image

Honoring the 16 million who served in the U.S. armed forces, the more than 400,000 who died, and all who supported the war effort from home.

This WWII Registry website is comprised of an official database of names of Americans listed on War and Navy Department Killed in Service rosters held by the National Archives and Records Administration, and an unofficial and developing compilation of public acknowledgements honoring U.S. citizens who helped to win the Second World War.

Please visit our ABMC Burials and Memorials search page if you are looking for:

  • Information (e.g., Army serial numbers) on service members buried or memorialized at our World War II overseas military cemeteries.
  • Names of the Missing memorialized at our East Coast Memorial, West Coast Memorial, and Honolulu Memorial.
