ACTIVITY DURING WWII

HE WAS A MAJOR AND THE CO-PILOT ON THE 4TH B-25 BOMBER THAT TOOK OFF FROM THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS HORNET FOR THE DOOLITTLE RAID ON TOKYO, JAPAN APRIL 18, 1942. REMAINED IN CHINA-BURMA-INDIA THEATER AFTER TOKYO RAID UNTIL MAY 1943. ASSIGNED TO BASES IN SOUTH CAROLINA, NEW YORK AND KANSAS FOR REMAINDER OF WORLD WAR II. DECORATIONS INCLUDE THE DISTINGUISHED FLYING CROSS, SILVER STAR AND AIR MEDAL.
