ENTERED ACTIVE SERVICE ON JANUARY 12, 1944. COMPLETED BOOT CAMP AT NAVAL TRAINING STATION, FARRAGUT, IDAHO. ASSIGNED TO AND SERVED, IN TURN, WITH TORPEDO SQUADRON 28 AND CARRIER SERVICE UNIT 6 IN THE PACIFIC THEATER OF OPERATIONS. HONORABLY DISCHARGED AS A AVIATION RADIOMAN THIRD CLASS ON JUNE 2, 1946 AT THE NAVAL PERSONNEL SEPARATION CENTER, CAMP SHOEMAKER, CALIFORNIA. EARNED THE AMERICAN CAMPAIGN MEDAL, ASIATIC-PACIFIC CAMPAIGN MEDAL AND THE WWII VICTORY MEDAL.
